Save your church bulletin archive as PDFs

If your parish made its weekly bulletin in Publisher, you probably have hundreds of .pub files in year folders. You can turn the whole archive into PDFs in one go and keep the folders exactly as they are.

Updated October 2026

Why now

Microsoft retired Publisher in October 2026. The office computer may still open the files today, but the next computer won't. PDFs open on any computer, phone or tablet, print exactly as designed, and can go straight onto the parish website.

How it works for a bulletin archive

  1. Find the folder with your bulletins, for example Bulletins with a folder for each year.
  2. On PubFileConverter, click Choose a folder and pick it. Everything inside is uploaded, subfolders included. Other files in there, like photos, are left out.
  3. Scroll through the pages. Untick anything you don't want to keep.
  4. Download one zip: Bulletins/2019/…pdf, Bulletins/2020/…pdf, plus a list of every file.

What it costs

A year of weekly bulletins is about 52 files. The first 3 are free, and a pack of 250 files costs $39, roughly five years of weekly bulletins. Credits never expire, so leftover credits are there for next year. Files that don't convert are never charged. All prices.

Good to know

  • Fonts: fonts that came with Microsoft Office are replaced by fonts with the same letter widths, so lines break in the same place. Check a few bulletins in the preview before you download.
  • Several people? Whoever downloads signs in with an e-mail address. The credits belong to that address.
  • Large archive: up to 2,000 files at once. More than that? Do it year by year, or write to us.

Questions

Are our bulletins kept private?

Your files are used only to make your PDFs and previews and are deleted from our servers 24 hours after upload. Nobody reads them and we never share them.

Can we pay with the parish card?

Yes. Payment is a one-time card payment through Polar, and you get a receipt for your records. Refunds are possible within 14 days.
