Convert many Publisher files to PDF at once
Drop a whole folder of .pub files, or a .zip, and get every one back as a PDF in the same folders. You check each file's pages before you pay.
Why one file at a time doesn't work for an archive
If you still have Publisher, you can open a file and choose File, Save as, PDF. That's fine for five files. For a parish office with ten years of weekly bulletins, it's 500 rounds of open, save, close. And Microsoft 365 users lost Publisher around October 1, 2026, so many people can't do even that any more.
How bulk conversion works here
- Drop the folder. Choose a folder (subfolders included) or a .zip. Files that aren't Publisher files, like photos or Word documents in the same folder, are left out automatically.
- Wait a few minutes. Files convert while they upload, and you see each one appear as it's done.
- Check the pages. Every file shows its first page; click it to see all pages. Untick anything you don't need and tell us with Yes or No whether it looks right.
- Download one zip. PDFs keep your folder names. A
report.csvlists every file, its page count, and whether it converted, so you can see at a glance what's missing.
What you get back
| You drop | You download |
|---|---|
Bulletins/2019/Easter.pub | Bulletins/2019/Easter.pdf |
Bulletins/2020/Christmas.pub | Bulletins/2020/Christmas.pdf |
Bulletins/notes.docx | Left out (not a Publisher file) |

Other ways to batch convert, honestly compared
- Microsoft's PowerShell script converts a folder to PDF, but it drives Publisher itself, so it only works on a Windows computer with a working copy of Publisher. How to use it.
- LibreOffice is free and can open .pub files, including from the command line
(
soffice --headless --convert-to pdf *.pub). It's a good choice if you're comfortable with a terminal. It uses whatever fonts your computer has, so check the results. - PubFileConverter needs no software, keeps your folder structure, shows every page before you pay, and tells you which files didn't convert. It costs money after the first 3 files.
Price for a big archive
One credit converts one file, however many pages it has. 50 files cost $19, 250 files cost $39, 1,000 files cost $99. Credits never expire, files that fail are free, and refunds are available for 14 days. See pricing.

Yes. Every PDF lands in the same folder as its .pub file inside one zip download, with a report.csv listing each file.
Do I pay for files that fail?
No. A file that can’t be converted is marked in the list and is never charged.
